1Bad unit

This unit junk, too complicated for its own good. Has a servo motor that opens and closes the damper for what reason I do not understand. When the motor does not open the damper the unit does not work. It worked for 15 days then quit. I can manually move the damper door to make it work, but on the next cycle it shuts down again. Honeywell has made a simple humidifier a electronic night mare.

Had this unit installed and it worked great for 3 days then the bypass motor failed. Honeywell said that they would not honor the warranty unless I had a contractor order the part and I'd have to pay for labor. Was $80 for a contractor to look and order or $50 for a new bypass. I decided to tear it out and install a different unit. Stay away from Honeywell products.
